Wing & A Prayer is a nonprofit community led by a dedicated group of men who love the outdoors and love Jesus. The group came together through the common bond of waterfowl hunting and decided to go on a mission to bring other like-minded men together to enjoy outdoor sports while also sharing their faith.

Our mission is to create opportunities for men of all ages to connect, build meaningful relationships, and hear the Gospel in an authentic and welcoming environment.

Throughout the year, we host a variety of outdoor events including waterfowl hunting trips during the California season, fishing tournaments, trap shooting, golf outings, and more. Beyond the outdoors, we gather twice a month for a men’s Bible study where we dive into God’s Word, encourage one another, and walk through life’s challenges together as brothers in Christ.

  • We strive to offer a wide variety of events designed for men of all ages and backgrounds to connect, build friendships, and enjoy the outdoors together. During the California waterfowl season, we host approximately 10–15 group waterfowl hunts throughout the year. In addition, we organize trap shooting events in Livermore, golf tournaments, fishing tournaments, and other outdoor activities that create opportunities for fellowship and mentorship.

    Many of our events are family-friendly and provide great opportunities for fathers to bring their sons and spend meaningful time together outdoors, regardless of age or experience level.

    Outside of our events, we also gather twice a month on Wednesday evenings in Livermore for a men’s Bible study where we dive into Scripture, encourage one another, and grow together in faith and community.

  • One of the core values of Wing & A Prayer is making our events accessible and welcoming to as many men as possible. For events like our bi-weekly men’s Bible study, there is absolutely no cost. We’re happy to provide food and drinks — all we ask is that you bring yourself and feel free to invite a few friends along with you.

    For activities such as golf tournaments or trap shooting events, costs can vary depending on the venue and event details, but we always do our best to keep them affordable and approachable for everyone.

    Our group waterfowl hunting trips are offered at no cost to participants. Our mission is not to make money, but to create opportunities for men to connect, build friendships, enjoy the outdoors, and grow in their faith together. We want to remove as many barriers as possible so more guys can experience hunting, community, and the Gospel in a welcoming environment.

Whether you’ve spent your whole life in the outdoors or are completely new to it, our goal is to create a welcoming environment where men can connect, build friendships, and experience authentic community.

    Some events, such as hunting or fishing trips, may have specific age requirements or licensing requirements depending on the activity and regulations. However, we also offer many family-friendly events and gatherings that provide opportunities for fathers, sons, friends, and newcomers to participate together. Our heart is simply to bring people together through outdoor activities, fellowship, and faith.
